The northwest offers excellent quality of life for both single and family oriented living. Our schools rank high compared to national ratings, housing is affordable compared to major metropolitan areas, the area has become a "magnet for growing industries like software and biotechnology." And, for people who enjoy the out of doors, the area is situated within ninety minutes of the Pacific Ocean, the Cascade Mountains and 10 continuous months of skiing, and the Columbia River Gorge and some of the best wind surfing in the world. We have some of the best vineyards in the world when it comes to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and we are renowned for the quality and variety of restaurants in our area.

While rain is synonymous with the northwest, it is actually a very temperate environment: winters are mild, mostly the snow falls in the ski areas, summers are dry - not humid - and with our northern latitude it remains light up till 9:30 to 10 in the evening. In general we have a reputation of being a friendly place to live. What else can one say.
